Tamagotchis range in value from $5 to $300 and above. Typically, rarity has some influence on price, with the Tamagotchi Devil being the rarest and most valuable toy in my collection, and the Tama-Go being the most common and cheapest.

Typically, rarity influences eBay value, but demand plays a role as well. If a pet is widely considered unique or exceptionally fun (like the Tamagotchi Devil), the price can rise to the three-digit range. Recently discontinued Tamagotchis (like the +Color or iD) can also rise in price due to availability issues.
